We believe in the biblical steps of salvation

HEAR

Romans 10:17 “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” To be introduced to the good news, we first have to hear the message.

BELIEVE

Once the message is heard, the next step is to believe in the good news: Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

REPENT

Luke 13:3 “I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Jesus calls all his disciples that believe in Him and His word to repent, or turn away, from their sins and old ways of life.

CONFESS

Romans 10:9 and 1 Timothy 6:12 tell us we need to confess Jesus is Lord in the presence of many witnesses to begin our new life with Jesus. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”--“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”

BAPTISM

Finally, we believe that to be saved from our sins and receive the gift of the holy spirit, we need to be baptized by immersion in water: Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21 “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”—“and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ”
