A place where the children of the Tucson Church of Christ can discover biblical truths, develop their faith, and lay a foundation to love God from the heart in a fun and safe environment.

PSALM 78:3-7

“What we have heard and known, what our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but, would keep his commands.”

Our volunteers go through a background check before they are able to serve in children's ministry. We provide a training for teachers to attend so they can learn how to support the children in their classroom and what will be best for their learning. We have the coordinators monitor the hallways and check on the classrooms periodically so that we can ensure that no one is entering classrooms that shouldn't be. Finally, we have two teachers take the children to the restrooms so that we can be sure that they will be safe.

We have a secure sign in and sign out process for our children. The parent or guardian that takes their child to their classroom signs them in, notes any special needs or allergies, and leaves a contact phone number. That same parent or guardian will need to sign their child out. Children who are not signed in are not able to attend class, and children are not allowed to leave the classroom unless they are signed out.

At the Tucson Church of Christ, we use a curriculum from thinkorange.org that combines Bible teaching with hands on activities and worksheets that allow the children to learn the concepts in multiple ways. Each week, the children practice a memory scripture and have a "life lesson" they are reflecting on each week.
